    polaris carb sync 1995 sl750

i took the carbs off my 1995 sl 750 rebuilt them and synced them and it idleing like 1800 and i belive its supposed to be like 1250-1350 in water and one day i was out riding and it started idleing at like 2200 and if i played with the idle "T" handle i screw it almost all the way out and it would be like 1900 and if id tap the gas back to 2200-2600 i put all new fuel lines in it did mikuni triple pump and made sure to put the restrictor back in it and put a zip tie to hold it in line. and i was putting the cover on it and noticed the thumb throttle wasnt all the way closed had a little day light going through it. do you think my carbs need resynced or maybe crank seal?

Make sure the butterflys in the carb are closing fully and touching the inner walls all the way around when the throttle is closed. The thumb throttle should have a little "freeplay" where it actually isn't pulled all the way closed, but can be wiggled a little without affecting throttle. If the butterflys are closing all the way, gonna need to start looking for air leaks...

I actually like a slightly higher idle myself.

    Nice numbers.
