    05 big hub pump on XLT, advantages?

    Is there any real advantages to adding a 05 big hub pump to a decent running XLT? I am needing to change impellers on mine to a bit more pitch, and have a pump I could update to at the same time. It has an impeller already that I could pitch down a bit.

    Yes the 05 works in the xlt, just like the gprs. Just need the head milled for it to work.

    "Just need the head milled for it to work"... please esplain? Because I havent had mine done yet, but looking to do soon. Put a H.O. in mine and gained 3mph using a 14/20 pitch scat swirl/R prop. Rpms naturally dropped a bit, but holeshot is good, and no problems turning the prop.

    Interested in this as well. Have a HO pump and a 14/21 dynafly that could be repitched sitting on a shelf.

    Dont know how the skats work in an 05, but i can tell ya no way a stock 1200 motor will turn an 05 with a dynafly at "proper RPM".

    Well like I mentioned, I'm running a skat and managed to gain a few mph's....without killing my bottom. Ran yesterday,rpms were in the range where should be. Not trying to start a debate, just stating facts. I plan on bumping my compression very soon...can't wait to see the results then
