Smile My Rubber (Cap for the IC Fogging Port) Keeps Falling Off

Re: Ultra-300x Intercooler "Fogging Port" Rubber

I thought I lost it a couple of times already, yet I managed to find it:

How do you guys keep it in place, and also, what if you are riding and it falls off, is it possible that you could damage the SC running without this rubber?

Do you guys keep a handful of spares JIC? Maybe some vaccuum rubber plugs from the Local Auto Parts Store?

    TIA

I lost mine a long time ago so what I do is just leave the hose going into the SC pulled out except when I am actually fogging. I shoot some spray through it to clean it out first then fog the SC.

Hmmm never had mine come off. Mines on pretty tight but I never fog my sc ether. I would not pull the tube out unless you cap it. prob same chance of getting water in that way as well as having no cap. Witch is about 3% lol. Just by a few spares call it a day.

Yeah, mine goes missing frequently, it always seems to show up somewhere though . A screw on tire valve type cap would have been nice.

    Good Point

When I first tried to pull that rubber cap off, it was soooper difficult.

It seems after spraying some fogging lube in that region, it almost seems to want to come off almost - by itself now???

A screw-on cap would certainly solve this problem.

    Thanks Guys!!!

Solution is at Your Local Auto Parts Store

I stopped-in at the local Auto Parts Store and spent a couple of bucks for a pack of 6 spare rubber caps.

They fit PERFECT. They are 7/32" - and that would be for our Australian Friends ~ 5.5 mm

    Good Day Mate!!!!!

Well, I did read a report the other day about the crisis that exists at the moment with the human race. The report was along the lines that smart people are having less kids, and the worry is that because it's the dumber people having more kids the "advancement" in the human race is going to slow down. Serious, that was the report.

I'm one of the statistics, I've got one kid. How many have you got Corey, I need to know in case I need to have more to balance things up
