1996 Polaris 780 JetJon 12frt Aluminum Boat Stator Issues??

Hello Everyone, first post and i hope you can help me!
i have a 1996 polaris 780 in my 12ft jon boat i was out on my boat and it seemed to kick into limp moad on me.... i have 135psi per cylinder, coils, good swapped cdi, i also pulled the gray wire of cdi and it started backfiring out of the carbs.... sooo i changed the reed valves and still the same issue! i got the ski with a bad stator so i had to swap it once with a used one
    i checked the stator
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>spec: Mine:
    Alternator coil (red/purple to yellow) .6ohms .6
    Trigger coil (white/yellow to black) 220ohms 215
    Pulser coil (blue/red to red/white) 90ohms 64
    Exciter coil (red/white to green/red) 459ohms 490

i read that if the pulser coil is bad it keeps it at 10deg @3000rpm hens when i pull the gray wire once it gets to 4000 it fires on the intake?? is this true?
i just dont want to buy a stator if i dont have too

    PLEASE HELP

    Welcome to the Hulk.

Your pulser and exciter coils reading alone would be enough for me to get another stator.

Would that be my high end backfire?

It's going to be difficult to find a new one. And if you do, will most likely be quite a bit. Good used ones are in the $100 range.

I am not saying the stator is good, but perhaps the flywheel has shifted on the crankshaft and sheared the woodruff key.

Incorrect flywheel timing can cause backfiring and low engine power. Be sure to install a genuine Polaris key if you need a new one. Generic parts can be too soft metal and fail.

OK, where's the pictures and did you do the swap. Would love to know what your thoughts are on running it performance wise. Have thought about doing one up since river running around here can get pretty shallow at times.
