1100 stx engine question (with Video)

I have a 1998 1100 stx that needs a new engine. I got a used one, but I don't think it's as good as I thought. When I spin it over by hand, it sounds rough. I took the intake off of it and inspected the crankcase and it looks a bit rusty, not bad-bad, but I think it needs a new crank? Can you watch the youtube video and let me know what you guys think. This is the first time I've messed with a jetski engine, but I wouldn't think it would sound this rough...

Sounds like crap! Is that noise coming from the crank or the cylinders? Pull the cylinder block off and spin the crank (get someone to help hold the third rod) and see how it sounds.

the only way to know for sure is remove the crank and clean it with solvent to remove all oil and old gas, blow out the bearings with an air hose and manually inspect each bearing
