Anyone Want to Plan Lake of the Ozarks Dam Run this Summer ?

Would like to start planning a dam to dam run or at least Truman Dam Run
    some time this summer.
I don't live on LOTO or go there regularly, so maybe someone who does can
    help with the specifics.

Was thinking time wise last weekend in July or beginning of August. Have had a lot of fun
in past years. Getting a big group is really fun !!!!!!
I would have 2-4 people from my area to go.
Usually try to do on a Friday when the lake is better for distance riding

    Thanks for your infput !

They are having a 130mile dam run at the shootout.

Yeah, but it cost like 150 bucks just to join. That doesn't cover your fuel that's just to ride with them!

It does get you a couple of runs in the shootout. it is also for charity and it's a poker run. i did it last year and it was fun. i was planning on doing it again this year, but i am also going to run in the shootout so the $150 doesnt bother me.

I'll keep an eye on this post as well because i wouldn't mind going twice this year.

Looks like this year's shootout is August 18-26. So let's try to schedule this for the 3rd or 10th.

Here's a list of public boat ramps

The main channel is about 90 miles long. Hurricane Deck and Sunrise Beach are mid-way down. I've never been, but I've heard Captain Ron's is a good time. We can put in at the Bagnell Dam (1MM) and cruise down to Captain Ron's (34.5MM). From there we could break off or finish the run to the Brown Bend Access (61.5MM).

The drive from Bagnell to Brown Bend is a sh*tty hour and ten minutes though.

Hey that's good to know. I didn't realize you got to run the shootout "included". That make it better for sure. I ran in the shootout last year. It was kinda cool. I took (actually tied for) 3rd in my division.

How many ran the dam run last year?

I was thinking of doing this on a Friday to avoid the big wake traffic. ( Aug 3 weekend is out for me, but weekend of aug 10th would work well.)
And going all the way up to Truman.. Past the 60 mm all the way up..
In years past, we have stopped at the OarHouse for Food and Good Premium fuel. I think it's about
    the 66 mm or so.
I have never done the full dam to dam..
Have put in around 34 or so.. Thats about 125 miles round trip in the day. But I'm up for whatever is fun !!!
