94 SLT hard to start after sitting

    Hey Guys

so my 94 SLT seems to have a hard time starting after sitting for a day, where my SL fires right up! when i redid the fuel lines on the carbs and went to start it for the 1st time, it actually wouldnt even prime itself, i had to use starting fluid to get it fill the lines up with fuel, and now it seems when it sits it takes abou ta minute of choke and on and off cranking to get it to fire, once it turns on though you can shut it off and turn it on NO problem, so its like the fuel is leaving the carbs....could it possibly need a new fuel pump? it has the triple outlet mikuni and all....any help would be greatly appreciated,

I am suspecting you have one or more air leaks into the fuel lines or connections.

The entire fuel supply from tank to carbs needs to be 100% air tight. During operation these hoses have mild suction, not pressure. Any air leaks will allow the liquid fuel to drain back into the fuel tank.

The carburetors also need to be internally clean with good sealing.

Are there fuel lines inside the fuel tank? If yes, have they been replaced?

Fuel selector valve is clean with new o-rings inside?

Fuel filter new? Water separator lid seal in good condition?

All fuel hoses fresh and have proper spring clamps?

New fuel lines on the carbs. Carbs where opened cleaned inspected put back together. It does have lines in tank. I'm betting Keddano replaced them with the rest of the lines. When he rebuilt the engine(5 years ago). Fuel filter is new. Selector unsure of.

Check all of your clamps. Make sure its all tight. Go over it all again.

Is it a possibility the fuel pump has something wrong internally? Like a check valve or something?

Possible but i would check everything else first. Go over all of your connections again.
