Wouldn't the engine perform better with outside engine temps like we do with the RXP?
They have outside air intakes for the RXP's so why not do it to a Kawi?

I mean isn't power being lost?

That kit is only for the non super charged skis. I can't see it adding much performance since the stock outside air intakes are small and the engine temperatures in the hull are very high. You need to get more air and cooler air into the engine compartment before you see a gain in performance. I think that by opening up one of the "fake" air intakes on the hood and drilling holes in the bottom of the hood feeding into the luggage compartment, then removing the luggage compartment rear access cover, or at least altering it, will allow the cooler outside air to be fed to the engine.

I would have to examine how the thing is put together close up to see if this could be done.

I'm sure they'll get around to using outside air too. Don't forget- they still make the simple Stage I RXP/T kit which uses inside air via the power filter... think of how long they sold those before they came out with the rear kit for the "P".

Air supply needs to be balanced with water intrusion protection based on individual rider needs and wants.

The point is that they are obviously working on stuff, and getting it out there pretty quick for the new Kawi.

Looks like the same thing for the 15f/12f. It does add a noticeable amount of power over the stock box setup. All the same motor bolt ons are gonna work on these new ski's. I bet the timing advance with better gas would rock on the 250x.
