I am replacing a ride plate insert on my 800gp and was wondering what is the best product to use for attaching the insert to the hull and sealing it, thanks for all the help and advise I have recieved on previous problems.

Use 3M 5200 Marine sealant/adhesive to attach the insert.

Has anyone tried Marine JB Weld for attaching and sealing the ride plate insert, or is 3m 5200 better. My concern with the 5200 is that it won't set solid enough to keep the insert from spinning next tme I need to remove the ride plate.

JB weld is good stuff, ive used it before but not for this application. Most people here seem to live, breath, and die 3m 5200. I would go with that suggestion.
