    Needing to redo bottom

The bottom of my RXT is showing fiberglass in spots due to beaching and rubbing. It is rough and needs to be sanded and re-gell coated.

Can anyone give me links to the Acetone to use, the gelcoat to use and the paint to use? The bottom is black and need to re-do it in black.

    Thanks!

Here are pictures of the bottom, I'm sure most would agree that it needs to be re-done before getting worse.

    Another picture.

I have a guy that does really great work on stuff like this and he said he could do it for a total of $450. Is this a good price? This is re-doing it in black urathane instead of gelcoat.

You can also buy original seadoo glecoat online. It's not good at all to ride like that, polyester sucks water. Make sure it's not soaked, you can get humidity measuring devises that you push in to the polyester. If you cover wet polyester with gelcoat it will come off. For structural hull repairs allways use epoxy, polyester is just not strong enough for repairs.

Gel Coat it! You need a STRUCTURAL repair, not a cosmetic repair! Simply slapping on some Bondo and painting over it it will not fix it properly. Most body shops don't know enough about marine repair.
