How do you guys touch up your fiber glass when it gets chipped? Got a nice little chunk taken out from a dock this weekend on the top half and wanna know what I should do.

Mix some fiberglass resin to fill the chunk then touch up paint that comes in the little sticks? Just an idea.

any marine/ fiberglass or plastic store should have a gel coat repair kit with different colours for under 30$. clean out the scrape, mix up the gel coat and colour place in gouge and once hardened sand flush and polish out.

If you have lots to fix, it is much better to buy the full quart of gel coat, and buy some Cabosil to use as a thickener. The bonus is that when you buy the full quarts from Gelcote intl is that it comes with the wax additive already mixed in it, so you don't have to mess around with PVA, film, or mixing you own wax additive.

You first start with gel coat paste, squeeged into the cracks and voids, then finish up by spraying gel coat for the final finish.
