    2010 RXTX piston melted

I've rebuild the engine after bending a rod through water compression. I've also add the RIVA intercooler,an Solas 15/22R and the module for removing the speed limiter. I took it out for the first ride and the rpm's dropped and the engine blocked after a while. I've removed the engine again and the half ring for the crankshaft was scratched. I've put the engine back in place and went out riding again. After a few minutes the rpm's dropped again and the engine sounds like a lawnmower. Stopped the engine and restarted it, blue smoke was coming out. There was a piston melted. Resleeved the block, put a new piston also the the half ring was scratched. I've changed the injectors because the my thought is that the engine is burning lean on that cylinder. For the half ring i've moved the engine for 2,4 mm forward because the solas has 2 mm less tolerance then the original impeller.

Yesterday i was very happy that the rxtx was ready and run almost an hour with it without any problem, 5 minutes before i want to come out the water the lawnmower sound came back and also the blue smoke. I've removed the spark plugs and one is oily and also the gap is gone. You also see piston damage through the spark plug hole. It is not the same piston then earlier. So i think it is melted again.

Should make a hole and sink this jetksi or does anyone has an idea what could melted my pistons.

I think you should just ride your 2011 aS. You aren't much of an engine rebuilder.

There are no mods more then i've posted in the first post.

AFR ratio i can't see, there is no AFR installed. But i've you're running to lean the temperature rises and can cause the piston to melt.

The injectors, ECU, sc, pistons and all the rest is original.

This is the first engine where i had problems with, rebuild more then 20 engines without any problems.

I forgot to mention that also the stator had no resistance. So i had to change it too while the engine was still in the ski. Does anyone have a spare for this?

RPM around 7650-7700 and 67 mph, while i'm accelarating it hit 8000 rpm.

The original drive shaft was damaged too, the teeth at the end of the axle where gone. So i've put the 2011 drive shaft with the C-Clip again.

    PS the as is gone

this one may be a rod bearing, if the piston hit the spark plug its likely because the big end bearing spun or the rod cap loosened up.

I'm not sure, there is debry on the inside of the combustion chamber and it is using oil for sure. So there have to be a hole in the piston. I think the debry hit the spark plug.

That could very likely be it, What brand injectors did you use? I think I remember seeing something about the aftermarket ones having a problem with sticking
