    Sea Doo ECO Mode

Just curious if anybody knows what exactly is happening on the ECO mode on the newer Sea Doo's? Does it drop a cylinder once up on plane? Play with timing? Just wondering....

it limits rpm, controls throttle to be less aggressive no matter how much gas you give it

limits you to 6K rpm and about 40 mph - REALLY stretches the gas out though.

Yep, I'd say mostly keeps you out of boost although it obviously makes overall performance sluggish in comparison to Touring or Sport as well.

40% fuel increase for just cruising with the girlfriend on back is nice tho! haha

But when it's just me, sport mode doesn't get turned off.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like a good idea if you Doo a lot of cruising, which I Doo. Can you turn it on and off? Or does the computer control it? I'm out of the loop. I have a 2005 GTX SC 185 and it has none of this newer technology on it, so sorry if I sound ignorant.

Touch of a button turns it on and off.
