2012 FZS Hard to start since new

My 2012 FZS is relatively difficult to start since new when compared with other skis. On the average it takes about 3 attempts to start the ski when cold, 1 to 2 attempts when warm. Currently it has 7 hours. It runs perfectly fine. This is my first Yamaha and I wonder if this is normal for Yammis? Please share your advices on how to correct this problem. Thank you in advance. Vincent

Could be as simple as spark plugs, but with only 7 hours i would make the dealer deal with it.

Assuming both cables are attached firmly to the battery, check (or have the dealer check) the negative battery connection to the starter. Yours may be a little loose.

Check that the throttle cable is not addjusted to tight, our one was which resulted in poor starting.

3 attempts? No that is not normal, ours have started every time for 2 years straight. You may have some bad gas, loose battery cable or something very simple, have the dealer go over it it during your initial 10 hour check up.

Thanks everyone for your opinions. When the dealer first delivered the ski to me, they were in hurry and unable to fully charged it. Again thanks everyone. Vincent
