    Riva Rear Air Intake?

Just wanted to know if you HAVE to install the Flow-Rite water-repellant vents on the side of the cowling? Just curious. I don't know if I want to drill holes and have those in. Are there any drawbacks to not doing it? Thanks.

Since you use the rear vent as an air intake, the flow rites are provided to vent the hot engine compartment air.
