Question 2005 vx110 sport burning oil

I have an 05 vx110 that is burning a little oil. Its got 600+ hours on it but still runs great and have never had a problem with it other than this. I'm thinking about running 15w-40 delo in it instead of the 10w-40 that it calls for. I know this helps on cars when you get some mileage on them and I am wondering if anyone has tried it on their ski?

If you see no leak then it's going thru the valve stem seals or the rings and that will give you blow by, Going to a thicker oil might help it.

The first number is the Winter rating of the multi-viscosity. So you you may want to consider a 20w-50 instead as the second number is the one that is more important for what you want. Or just add oil as necessary...
