ZXi 1100 tach on a Polaris sl650?
I bought a ZXi tachometer here
It has 3 wires and my polaris sl650 requires a 3 wire connection.
Polaris wires are black (ground), yellow (stator rpms), orange (ignition)
Zxi wires are Black/white (ground?), Red/white (?), gray (ecu rpms signal)
Right now I have black to black/white, yellow to gray, and orange to red/white. The gauge goes straight to 6k rpm at about 1200rpm idle and will increase/decrease with throttle.
A tough question but any gurus have any answers?

Perhaps if you plug it into a wall outlet, it will read 60 Hz...

Figured out the polaris yellow rpm wire actually sends 6 pulses per revolution, therefore the gauges shows rpms of 6x the amount.
My polaris is idling at 1000rpm and the gauge reads 6000rpm.
I've read about pulse dividers/multipliers and cannot find too much. Especially on the divider side. Looks like this gauge might be getting sold. I'm not trying to become an electrical engineer.
