Why We Have MB - Hungry Gators!
This story could have turned out much worse.
For you guys that rode L. Maurepas for MB, we had two fatalities (both boats) this past weekend. Yep, summer is here...

Hmmm, makes you wonder if they just saw gators and panicked. But it's possible...had a small gator come after our dog before.

I'd bet they were large and curious and/or were closing in. We've got a problem down there w/the population and it's a matter of time before something really ugly happens. You should really get in the lottery and help exterminate the local species.
BTW, I like the new avatar.

When Troy Landry can take 400+ gators one year in the Lake Verrett area, then take another 500+ the next year, I would say that there is a problem with the population.

I have went to every Mudbug except the first one. Each year I see less and less alligators. No doubt there is still a huge population, but without a doubt I don't see as many as I used to. Maybe they are getting better at hiding.
