Just passed 300 hours on my 2004 RXP

Its been a few years since I have been on this site, I turned my attention to other things for a time.....

Just wanted to pass along that I just passed 300 hours on my RXP. New steel washers on the charger a few years back is the only thing I have done...

    This ski has been amazing......

Two 640+ mile round trips around LAke Superior a few years back with flawless results (It did get cold a few times, water temps at some spots in the mid 40's)

This motor and ski has been unbelievable in terms of reliability.......

Just use it now for pulling massive tubes and last summer I had three barefoot waterskiers going behind it, a pretty cool site......

I just change oil regularly, change out the plugs at the beginning of each year, replace the battery every few years and hit the starter and go.......

    HAve a great summer folks!!

I hit 300 hours on my 05 RXP this past weekend too. It has spent most of its life as a Stage 3+, and still runs perfect, with great compression. I have done a lot of preventative things to keep it running though ... Ferrea valves, Riva springs, hull feet cut out, carbon fiber & epoxy reinforcement, upgraded flywheel bolts, and more. It still runs into the low 80s easily anytime, looks great and turns a lot of heads due to the TDR waterbox and ET137 and rear air. Easily my favorite PWC out of the eight that I have owned.

Very nice Jeff, just like Vern said, try to do some preventative maintenance like the valves, flywheel bolts, etc and that ski should last you a few hundred hours more without any issues.

    awesome!

GREAT!! Thanks for sharing this post. Glad to hear these skis lasting a long time!

I am around 100Hours on my 2011 GTI 155 Limited and loving it! I hope to get that many (and more!!) hours on my ski. Yep, I think the key is maintenance also.

    Thanks.
