05 RXP, smashed the #3 spark plug big time, any ideas?

Riding RXP when it shut down, now she's locked up good. The #3 spark plug looks like the piston or something else has smashed it. The electrode and ceramic insulator are completed jammed up inside the plug. The motor is locked up tight too. Any guesses at what could have happened? I don't have much Seadoo 4 stroke experience.

Ok well something hit it for it to be like that. You probably broke an exhuast valve or possibly and intake valve. I would use a bore scope and check down in the cylinder and see what type of damage has been done

    smashed plug

Will I be able to tell with the head cover off. I mean...I would think if a valve fell into the cylinder, I'd be able to see that a valve was missing right?

Not necessarily, the face of the exhaust valve normally breaks from the stem near the radius. The stem will still be in place. Also, was this the rear cylinder? I know you said #3, but just want to clarify.

(Sorry, this was in response to post #6)
