    2004 GTX non intercooled setup--

Here is whats gonna be my anticipated setup within the next week, just want some opinions on what im doing--

Green wheel in charger (17 tooth gear)
    RXP stock fuel pressure regulator
    Fizzle front air intake
Riva Competition kit for opas so this way they are locked up

    pump wedge in due time.

    all stock otherwise.

thinking with this setup high sixtys on gps (close to 70 on the speedometer/dreammeter)

what do u guys think. am i missing anything? and i wont be doing the 16 tooth gear on the charger or fly wheel swap out. i dont want to be bothered. thanks for the input-
    --Jay

PS- thanks jerry and sundance so far for all your help!!

Jay--Not to rain on your parade--you will NOT see GPS mid sixties with the above set up (including the wedge). You might break 62 GPS MPH with what you have listed above. Let me know how it turns out. I would love to be wrong with my prediction on the above set up.

no problem ray i am hoping for it so lets see what happens. i am optimistic but either way ill be happy with 5 mph gain all around from stock if that happens. i love my ski the way it is and anything else is a bonus. everyone has the bug to go fast. im doing all this on a budget and making it how i want it. plus im getting most of the parts off my friend eric at a deal i cant refuse. after speaking to u and jerry theres a concensus i am on the right path and maxing out my 185 and will be very happy and that my friend is what its all about to me. i cant wait to see what happens!

I have a 04 with a green wheel, wedge, 4 " intake, and a 04 rip ecu and have 66 on flat water. Stock they will run 62 or at least mine did and still does. Sundance has one of the tastes 185 that I know.

Of course in the heat of the summer with high humidity you will be lucky to get low 60's. The cooler and low humidity will give you good speeds.

Get it intercooled, you will gain power and will be safer.

Intercooler makes it safer??? I have been buying Sea-D00s since 1992--some with intercoolers--some without. They were/are equallly safe. My wife's 185 HP non intercooled 2006 gtx has over 100 hours running over 70 MPH with no accidents--not hitting anyone else on their PWC--have not crashed into any docks---have not turned over--have not fallen off. Also the engine has NEVER been opened up and is running the stock cast pistons. Those who say cast piston won;t live--baloney. I am running a 2006 RXP ECU on this boat and turning 8100 to 8160 RPM with the cast pistons. They will live if you know what you are doing (like plenty of fuel).

Safer for the engine, less likely to get detonation.

Cooler AIT is always better but you do have to allow for that with enough fuelling.

Especially seeing as your running a wheel more aggressive than stock.
