    do i need a new impeller

    Just changed the wear ring but impeller looks a bit beaten is it ok to just file the lumpy bits off?

    IMO....No. Take a file to that leading edge. Does looks like its seen a bit of debris though. Try not to change the profile of the blades leading edge curve and don't take anymore off than is required to give you back a clean edge. Whats the trailing edge like, probably needs to be cleaned up also. get it out of the pump. I reckon it's well worth saving.

    ok cool just need to find a 13mm allen key now ive got the other tools to get it off and have changed my wear ring also. The guy i brought it off said i need to repitch the impeller by a couple of mm due to it been setup for winter and loosing a few hundred rpms.

    not checked the trailing edge as i havent got it out the pump housing yet but will have a look as soon as its out thanks

    If it is an rxp or rxt you will need a 12 mm Allen. In the US auto zone has the 12mm I'm not sure what stores you have though.

    thanks just been down the local motorists shop luckily they sold one and also the marine greese
