I dont know who make K&N's oil filters. I dont think they make their own. I have heard they are not a top quality filter. If you can get me a competitor's (purolater, fram, etc) number I can see what I can sell you some good Wix filters for.

Amsoil`s new Ea oil filters are the bomb!!! if you have the need for a high capacity long drain interval filter. Of course you can always change your oil earlier. I have the Ea filter on the Xterra...
and am using OEM (since this is only avail) for the 06 VW...PR...

oops! I thought we were talking about car filters when I saw Purolator in the post above, and since K&N is an automotive filter, I`m not aware of them making filters for our ski`s ...PR...

Materials from all those countries and carefully assembled in China ? They sure have enough different suppliers to pass the buck to if the filter proves defective.
Sometimes the couple of bucks saved isn't worth the risk !!

If its just a paper element, throw a coffee filter wrapped in screen in yours. This is the MOST imoprtant maintainence item on a four stroke engine. A couple of dollars will save you bundles of money in the long run. BUY A QUALITY FILTER!!!!!

I know on the motorcycles the KN oil filter are high quality.

I guess it's off to the ripoffship (dealership) for a Seadoo filter or 2.

OK, disregard my post, I thought you were talking auto filters when you mentioned K&N. The only good thing about K&N is that the cases are thicker and have a nut on the case end for easy removal, other than that it is the same as AC delco...PR...
