FI 'alrt' - Anyone know what this means?

I just received this error code today after passing ~ 4hrs on my 2012 300 LX. I did not receive RPM limitation or notice anything unusual. Anyone know what this means?

Intake air temperature sensor malfunction wiring open or short.

If it went away most likely the sensor didn't wake up fast enough. If it is still there then check the above.

Thanks, it didn't go away, comes on as soon as I put the key on. Headed to the dealer with it..I guess there went a few good days of riding

Hold mode and set and it will show a code. Post that code up here.

    Cheers, Mal.

Most likely the sensor connector is undone.
Stealership would most likely say they will have to replace the sensor.

Yeah, I spoke to dealership this morning and they are ordering sensor. Also said would call Kawasaki in the a.m. for other suggestions. I think I actually have a good stealership, they responded at 7 a.m. to my email, then followed up with a phone call at 9 a.m. (and today is Sunday). Appointment set for Thursday 8 a.m., said unless serious will have me jumping waves by 10:00 including 10 hour service.

    Thanks for all y'all's replies.
