How to stop the VXR/VXS bounce?

What have you done to stop the bounce that occurs at 66+ MPH on your VXR/VXS?

Did you lose any speed from what you did to stop it?

Throttle control and weight placement will steady her if she starts to bounce a bit (that's what I do). JB

I understand letting off the throttle is an option to stop the bounce, but I would like to find a way that its possible to run these skis WOT and not bounce.

Has anyone tried the after market plates like Riva or R&D? Do they stop it and do they scrub a ton of speed in the process?

It's been said that shimming the ride plate will solve it, but it seems every ski is different and you have to test, shim, test, repeat until it works. Not sure about losing any speed, as I haven't done anything with ride plate or grate. I ordered the Riva SS thinking it would be better than the R&D v2, but after your review, I'm not so sure. R&D advertises a 1mph increase on smooth water for their grate, but its 5week backorder for one.

What bounce? I frequently read 68-71mph on my speedo at top speed... no bounce?

I don't think 71 on the speedo is quite in bounce range. Happens once you start going faster it seems. Around 67 MPH on GPS.

Jarrett are you still running the spacers between the ride plate and the hull?

Ive tried it with/ with out factory shims, with /with out washers.....even put a FZR plate on there,,,,,I think its a cross between the ride plate and the sponsons fighting each other.....have a good look at the sponsons when the VXs/r is at WOT.....
