    Ultra 150 Keihin to Mikuni Swap

    So I have searched all the threads and see a lot of good info on the benefits of making the change over. But who has actually done it? I would like to pick your brain as to the difficulty (it seems straight forward) and steps to take.

    Also, What SNB 44's should I switch to? Something like off a Waveraider 1100 and jet it up a bit?

    GP1200 carbs make good donors from what I have heard/read. I think the spacing is close but you may need a few parts or a little work to get the throttle shafts set up properly. Will you run fuel pumps on each carb or remote pumps?
    On the ultra150.com forum there was a guy by the name captainoverspray who documented setting up SBN 44s on an ultra. Search for posts by his name. There is also a sticky there of various people's jetting setups; his is listed there as well. Johnny5 (over on pwctoday and also on ultra150) has also documented setting up a set on SBN 46s on his STXR project which would follow the same basic requirements. Those are 2 good sources of direct fuel pumps. Btldigger has documented remote pump setups (but it was on buckshot 50s if I recall). Sorry for the links to other sites but I know what's on them while I'm new on here so not sure what is here yet. Have not gone digging yet.

    one word for you. DON`T. while 44s look good in the engine bay and are not difficult to install, the hard part will be getting the things tuned in properly. you need to find someone who really really really knows what they are doing and is prepared to work on a 2 stroke with the constant danger of an engine seizure. talk to someone like Group K about their big bore kit, it looks like a well sorted and reliable set up and will save you a lot of aggrovation

    My plan is to get ADA head and swap on the 44 carbs and get a solas prop. I just got a set of beach house sponsons
