Flushing/changing oil after water leak

OK so it should be replaced, not just kept as a spare. Can you dissemble the original one to see if it has any corrosion and maybe seal it?

Next time (I hope there isn't one!) consider running Royal Purple oil when getting rid of water in the case. It doesn't emulsify much and stratifies out, water on bottom. I understand that other synthetics act this way, as well.
