1050 single pipe setup - opinions?
been a long time since i was on these forums (about 4 years). looking for some advice on 1050 big bore setup. is porting necessary? looking to build a pump gas 67-70mph single pipe rx. had twin pipes on my last xpl race boat, they were a pain - so i'm hoping a white pipe will get there if matched with a decent 1050 setup. if i remember the 1050 wasn't worth it unless the ports were changed (was told the 951 has marginal port size/shape at stock bore).
stock carbs (f/a & re-jet)
plastic pump (not sure of impeller)
aftermarket nozzles (not sure of sizes)
rinaldi reeds (if necessary)
miller head (or cut head)
bored ex. manifold and white head pipe

forgot a couple more things true the hull and a 97 XP plate will also help.My mpem is recurved by tim at NOVI with the coffman pipe curve. And I run a stock intake grate.

been a while - hope the family is happy/healthy!
wayne has a mint set of rxx pipes that i'm leaning towards (in addition to a bunch of other stuff). i figure i will build a stock bore twin pipe (rxx) and then go 1020 or 1050 late next year. i guess i didn't learn my lesson with twin pipes back in 2007
pm me your price for the rinaldi reeds and spacer - i will need them regardless of exhaust choice.
