Flywheel lost a tooth... See pics..

My SC was making a loud tapping sound like a valve tap kinda, When I removed the SC and ran the ski the noise was gone.. I pulled the PTO and here's what I found.. A tooth missing and a foreign steel piece of something. It's sheared clean and looks like it was a circular piece. It's magnetic and was found in the PTO cover screen, the tooth was found in the front oil pump area.. Any Idea what that curled piece is?

the smaller piece looks like a timing chain roller, the other is obvious, broken tooth of the flywheel, at least thats my best guess........

Yes, that's the tooth. The other piece is 1/4 the size of a chain roller...
