    sxt-15f vs ultra 300x

As far as reliability and maintenance how do these compare? buying brand new, I'd rather not do too much maintenance at the stealership. I don't like other people working on my toys. I'm new to jet skis but I'm pretty mechanically inclined. (i've helped build several high horsepower cars)

    Thanks!

    sirbreaksalot is correct.

But you must also consider what you want a ski for.

Speed, rough water handling, good storage capacity, lots of maintenance (comparably speaking, if you take care of it, it'll take care of you), looks, no worries about fuel consumption, (ain't met a fuel pump it didn't want to mate with) =300X

Cruising, good storage capacity, rough water, less fuel consumtion, low maintenance, = Ultra LX

Lakes and rivers, occasional rough stuff, ok storage capacity but annoyingly small glove box, good fuel economy, decent speed, (60) ok in the rough if it happens but slaps ya around a bit, typically very reliable, low maintenance, = STX15F.

I'd like to have the ski for at least the life of the loan (60 months) without catastrophic failure. It'll only be used in fresh water. Plan on pulling a tube with it as well

like a lot of people I'm addicted to speed and acceleration. I feel like I'll just want more with the 15f. shell 93 octane here in texas.

The 300 is very reliable for a 300 hp ski but will be more Maintenance then the 15f by far waz assessment is a very good one.
If you want the power ya gotta pay in more ways then one.

what are the differences in maintenance?

You seem more interested or concerned about maintenance than performance.
Then the 15F is a right choice for you.
