Wildwood launch. 150 in the bay?

I'm heading to Wildwood in a couple weeks and will be bringing my Yamaha 3 sweater for sure.
    Two questions:
    1) where do you guys suggest I launch?
    2) will my Kawi Ultra 150 be ok in the bay or is it too small?

    Thanks

Last year I launched from Lucky Bones Bar and Grill which is across from the Lobster House. It was free, but limited parking so you gotta get there "early". We got there like 11'ish and got some of the last spots.

We had my STX 1100 and my buddy's Ultra 150, both in the bay and out on the ocean and they were both fantastic. I would say Barnaget Bay was choppier/rougher than the WW bay, so you'll be fine.

When you goin down? I'll be down there 3rd week of August.

If you launch from Lucky Bones you can go through the Cape May harbor and back into the ditches behind Wildwood or screw around in sunset lake.

There's a lot of good riding to be done back there, you just need to know where you're going and be aware of the tides because a lot of the ditches can be run at high tide and are mud at low tide.

Lucky bones ramp is good because it's free and really there is no other option unless you want to use the wildwood ramp. Some days can be really crazy because it is just one ramp. At low tide watch out for the hole in the ramp. I sliced my tire open on my trailer when it fell in it. Hopefully Ill fix my drive shaft before you make it down this way and Ill show you around if you want.

Thanks for the info guys. Turns out i'm heading down next week as well. I'm staying around Garfield Ave this time.
One problem: The place i'm staying doesn't have parking arrangements for trailers. Grrr. Is there a public lot nearby where I can drop my ride?

Also, I'm not opposed to paying a couple bucks to launch if it means getting out quicker etc. Where would you recommend i do that?

    Thanks again!

I'm going to be down there starting tomorrow, for 2 weeks. Try here: http://www.lakeviewdocks.com/ They do weekly slip rentals, and very nice/helpful there too. Don't know if you want to spend money on that or not, but I figured I'd throw it out there.

I checked out Lucky Bones on Goggle Maps and it looks like the place I'll launch. Am I correct that if i head out of the Cape May inlet and turn right, and follow the shore, there is another way back inland?
I could use some advice from the experienced riders as this will be my first ride in the bay/ocean. I typically ride in a lake in NE PA along with my GF on the back. The last thing i want to do is roll the PWC and/or get stranded. I do have a VHF radio though--- hope I don't need it.

Rangermtb5-- thanks for the link. I gave them a call and it cost too much for me to put my two PWCs there for 3 days. It's $30 a night per watercraft and $15 in and then $15 out. I figure $180 for 3 days. Nah...
    Thank you.

No problem. Shoot me a PM when you get down, if you want to ride.
