Did you put your old stator on this block? My guess is a bad ground connection, bad stator, or other wiring problem in the electrical box. Hard to help you without alot more detailed information.

All I did was stor 2 wires in the e-box every thing else is out of the running 780 shell. All wires look good and in the right place. It is not the kill witch I tested the. I have a stator from a 750 would that work? Any one know what voltage I should see at the plug wire ?

A 750 stator will work fine. You don't really measure voltage at the spark plug wires. Grab a manual. It will give you all the test procedures.

In general you test the stator using an ohm meter, test the resistance of the plug wires/boots. And if all the tests come back good, then you replace the CDI as there is no tests for that part.

I have attached a wiring diagram below to try and help. It includes all the resistance measurement tests at the top to help you find the issue.

Have you checked the battery voltage while cranking?

Had a ski that cranked awesome, but no spark. All it needed was a battery!

Whoa Whoa Whoa....... New block, old engine.... Engine "exploded'? What does that mean? Could be other components that were damaged when the explosion occurred.... What was the carnage? What happened? What was tossed and what was kept?

Used block but new topend from sbt. So all new to this ski. I have not got much time to spend on it. I am going up to the lake this weekend so I will run some checks on my 750 to see if voltage is the same in each wire. It has a new battery in it and I have it set up to a charger when I crack it so it dose not kill it. I have checked ever think I can think of. If there is any other ideas out there it would help. Also I thought the spark has nothing to do with the battery?
