    Removal is done with one of those smaller metal strap wrench style filter removers. I put it back on by hand and give it a 1/8-1/4" turn past snug with the wrench.

    I'm having trouble finding a smaller one like that. Just the bigger ones for car size filters.

    Try a dealership that sells sport bikes. I believe thats were I got mine..i think.

    i never tie mine that hard, always do it by hand so i can loose it with my hands. but try what maniacal recommended you.

    I tried that and ended up with a ski full of oil. Looking for something with a little more torque.

    I like the cap style tools that you put on a ratchet. Just don't forget to put a little oil on the gasket or it will be a bitch to get off next time...been there.

    Have you found one? I've been to 4 dealers and 3 auto stores and zilch. ONe dealer told me they use pliers on the
