came across an amazing helpful product the other day and figured id share
I was at pep boys and in the wax area and saw a Chrome box called nano diamond shield,so I looked it up and its a nano-glass kinda coating and not a wax at all that claims you won't have to wax for a year and actually puts a coating that repels water and creates a harder more scratch resistance to the paint.it came in a medium size aerosol can and costs $25, but will do my gp800 3 times since I only coat from the rub rail up,application was easier than any other product I have ever used you basically spray over it fast and wipe it off and it does add shine, but the part I was amazed by most was how fast the water runs off,the whole top pretty much stays dry and from the 3 times I have run it at the lake so far I haven't had to wash it since there is no scummy that sits on it and spots it up.I dunno how long it will last especially since its in water and gets more water exposure than your average car,but since its quick to apply and can get a few applications out of a can,its money well spent.I have been doing paint and body for 11yrs so I am rarely ever this impressed by any "miracle" product regarding paint cause I know most are crap but I am soo impressed with this stuff I figured I would pass it on

Ya its clear and it will actually protect the plastic parts and doesmt make a mess and can either be applied over wax or you can wax over it ,I am very impressed soo far even though its only been a couple weeks

I figured I would update,I have had this product on for 5 weeks and been out on the lake atleast 12 times and its still going strong, and looks clean,I haven't even had to rinse it off, although it got rained once on the way home lastweekend, but there is no dirty residue left behind from the lake water anymore,it stays nice and clean and dry

I'll keep updating on it,I am in no way affiliated with this company ,and with my years of paint experience I rarely see any off the shelf product that impresses me.I have seen many products good products disappear over the years due to nobody buying them and I figured if I spread the word hopefully it will stick around.there's vids on YouTube that show how easy it is and its performance if anyone else here tries it out post up your comments cause I'm sure you will be amazed

Wonder how this will work with salt water use? We get salt deposits when the ski sits after a run. They wash right off but if they where to not form that would be nice.
How does it apply, is it filmy or does it go on/off easily with no streaking?
