    GPR Question....

    How many pepole take off the flappy valve on the gas pick up.......

    theres a mod to extend the fuel pick-up but i havent seen any mod on removing a flappy valve

    I always remove the flapper on the sending unit... they have been known to restrict fuel flow

    Be sure when you do to either remove the whole bottom plate, or shorten the reserve line so it does not touch the bottom and restrict fuel flow.

    Yea I remove the flapper and cut the line on the reserve side.....the flapper had a bend to it..

    Did my 1200 the first week I had it. Added clunks.

    Its a mod most people do, its listed on one of the stickies or in the how to section.

    Basically your extending the fuel pickups and adding weights to the end of the hoses to protect against lean runaway when low on fuel. Also lets you get more fuel out when your low on fuel.
