Question Prop ADVICE needed for Turbo SKI.

i need advise in what prop should i use. currently running a stock prop pitch to 13/20 boost 11psi Rpms 8600 8650, this prop cavitates at any speed, i am not looking for any holeshot but for good top end and acceleration in mid range. i would like to know what you guys reccomend me. My ski is an 09 FX SHO. i have the mods listed above. Mainly point here is lower the rpms so i can raise BOOST to like 16 17 pounds and stay at the 8600 RPMS range. Hope Jim can shime in with some advice. Thanks in advance.

I would definitely step it up to a 160mm prop and wear ring. If you pitch it properly it will be just as fast as your 155mm. This will also help in bring down your RPM's as it takes more power to spin a 160mm. I know your not concerned about holeshot but your getting a better holeshot and the same top speed. I'm no expert on prop pitch's but I would start probably with a 15/23 like what RIVA uses for their stage 3 kit.

Thanks for your opinion, i am not looking for top performance so i don't want to go with that 160 liner and prop, i would stick to 155 for now. Thanks

When I had the stock pump I was running a 160MM 15/23 with a TBM pump cone and was turning 8500-8600 rpms @ 16 psi (turbo). Zero cavitation and almost 87 mph top speed.

    Edit- I also had a 14/24 155MM Twin Prop and @ 15psi I couldn't keep it off of the 8700 rev limiter.

Yea these turbos make so much power I don't know how it's going to be possible to pitch a 155 tall enough to handle the power.

i dont plan to run more than 16 pound of boost, thats why i was asking maybe that 15/23 will do fine.

This was the Riva 15/23R 160MM made by Skat. At 16psi you will have a hard time keeping the rpms at or around 8600 with a 155MM single prop. 10psi with the turbo was turning the same rpms as the E1 supercharger at 15psi. You will make a ton of power with the turbo making 16psi!!
