    Power Valve

I have a 2003 XLT 800 and was told that I should replace the power valves. How do you get the rod out of the crank case that holds the power valve, so that I can put in the new ones.

there isn't anything that comes out of the crank case. the PV's come out of the cylinder. You need to pull the exhaust pipe to get to the PV covers then remove the valves. You should also install wave eater clips while your at it. I'm actually in huntley so if you need help I would be happy to lend a hand if I have time or if you need 2 new valves I have 2 new ones with wave eater clips sealed in the package still on the shelf. call me if you need anything 847 502 4174 Vince
