    thinking about getting a 2012 rxp-x 260

    hello
i'm thinking about getting a 2012 260x rxpx. any input on how the ski rides in bigger chop (ocean/jetty etc)?
also does that special ergonomic seat do anything or is it all hype? i mostly ride longer distances and standing up - the 12 rxpx 260 seems to be geared to cc racing which is a bit unlikely.
fyi i used to ride an ultra 250x and although i really liked it on the ocean it was a bit of a bus. on the other hand, the old rxpx was too nervous and really bouncy in chop.

The 2012 Rxpx, imo is the best rough water ski SD has ever made. The ergo seat really does work very well for cutting tight corners. I had concerns that it would not be comfortable standing up but I find it to be no problem.

Believe it or not the seat helps ur ass to stay on it better in rough water.
It also helps massively in tight turns.
Just plant ur knee and bang the gas...
It's a pretty bullet proof ski...
    Best so far with doos...

Ok cool. For those who own the old PX hull and the 12 PX how do they compare in the rough in your opinion?

Honestly as much as I love the Kawi the reliability issues and maintenance just make me leery of buying one again.

Doo has the new 200 hour supercharger service now.
Not 100 like the older doos...

You want an RXT-X 260, not the RXP, in my humble opinion. I have both, and the RXT is much more comfortable and practical unless you're just goofing around for short periods of time. The RXP is insanely fun, but you really should sit on both of them for a while at your dealer if you can. And yes, the RXP ergolock seat helps a ton if you're whipping around in tight turns. You can support the turn with your big, strong leg muscles instead of using your wimpier arms to try to hang on.

2012 will kill a 08 in rough water.
