Checking oil levels on my 4-Tec

Oil indicator flashed briefly once while riding yesterday. Little surprised as this ski only has about 5 hours on rebuilt engine (which includes fresh oil)

I always pull the dipstip before riding and there's always clean looking oil apparent on the stick, HOWEVER, there's no "Add Oil" or no "Low" or "Full" marking to indicate if what I'm seeing is acceptable or not.

How can I know for sure if the oil levels are good without these markings???

    Thanks

You need to check the level on a hot engine. Before you check it. Let it idle on the water for 30 seconds. Shut it off and then check it. You want it right between the bends on the dipstick. You might have to add a little after rebuild.

That is exactly how you burn up the inner bearing of the supercharger (ask me how I know).......its lubed via the splash method and the oil level needs to be at the TOP BEND of the dipstick.
