    Help with 07 250X

Been a while since I have been here. I still have my red 07 250. I'm having a problem that I hope I can get some help with. A set of plugs only last for about 10 to 12 hours. It will not idle and will not run over about 30mph. Change plugs and everything is good to go. It has been doing this for about 3 years now. I only ride about 10 hours a year so I have been just changing the plugs every year.

Has any one else been having this problem or can anyone give me any advise as to what is causing this. Ski still runs great except for this issue. HELP PLEASE.

sounds like a condensation issue, i would suggest fitting the 300x exhaust filter this should help with eleviating your problem.

Get more water out of it and start it once a month. That being said 10 hrs a year. Nothing likes to sit. Pull the plugs before putting it in storage and fog the cylinders.

It does not have to be at the beginning of the season. I have probably put 10 to 12 hours this year before it started doing it.

I have always run the original plugs that came in it which were iradium's I think. I just put a set of the cr9 to see how they will work.

Try cr9eix iridium plug half the price and should last longer.

Ski came with the PMR9B as the original plug
Ran the CR9EIX with no improvement but is a lot cheaper
Just put in a set of CR9EK, going to see if they last any longer.

Am I the only one having this problem? If I am the only one then I need to find out what is causing this. Is this common with the older 250X? Like I said in an earlier post I have one of the originals that came out in 2007. I got the first one to come into my county. I took delivery in Feb. or 2007. Been a great ski other than the spark plug issue. Maybe something that I will just have to live with.

I'm only replacing plugs about one a year because of the low hours that I ride. My ski has 42 hours and I have had it for over 5 years now.
Thanks for all of the input. This forum is still the best like it was 5 years ago when these things came out.

Like I pointed out as well as Corey moisture is getting to them. Like I said above blow out the ski better and pull the plugs for storage fog the cylinders. Things do not like to sit just because there not used does.not mean they will stay good. Also blip the throttle before you shut the ski off this should help the ek plug is the platinum version it will work fine but doubt it will fix your issues. You seem to be confused on what plug is what as ek are not iridium
