Octane. To boost or not to boost

07 R12X manual says minimum 91. Will run on 86 but not over 5k rpm.
I live in California where the premium is 91 and regular is 87. Oxegynated to boot.
I'm going on houseboat for a week and you are not allowed to bring your own fuel.
They only have 87 available at the marina. Will I be OK or should I add a little Octane booster.

The only over the counter octaine booster that offers any increase is the NoS octane boost. It said it will raise ur octaine 60 points (6 octaine) but when mixed with 10gal it will raise it only 4.2 octaine in a real world test I read online. In made the top 10 their r sever available but would have to go to a race fuel distributor to get it...

I am not that wild about the MMT octane boosters. The best by far was MTBE which would make your engine run like a Scalded Dog....The EPA nixed it. You might try ACES since many of the racers use it and it seems to work well for most.

Yea I have some old torko octaine boost I got cheap since the guy is no longer a distributor anymore. Did notice a definite difference in output com paired to the new stuff . EPA screwed all performance stuff
