im sure you could do it actually 100% sure its not rocket science, but then again we have all witnessed some real efforts on here. its pretty straight forward once you get into it

    hey there ,
i'm ashamed of my self... all these years and all i have ever done was to lube the outside spray the hingeing section i have never sparyed inside the boot.. but i will from now on.. since i got the ski i have been spraying all around... aint got one lick of rust oxidation or anything.. hahaha it just lost it's "STAYING POWER"
Like i eventually will hopefully later than sooner..
    Thanks.

It's easily replaceable but is a little bit of a pain when it all goes back together just be patient.

Dont forget there is 2 6mm speed nuts

you should repalce the pin in the hinge also as you will be beating it out with a punch because it will be stuck...remember you do not need to take out the 2 bolts holding the latch to get the liner out.

gigucan: put some penetrating oil on the hinge pin the night before you make the repair.

    I got my piston.
I thought it might be a good idea to replace any parts that i might come into.. i'll give it a go tonight and see how it goes... I also bought the 2 6mm speed nuts but no one (locally )has the latch pin or the washer/grommet
    thanks again
