Question about oil tank when blocking off oil pump on '95 waveraider 700

    Hey,

I am about to block off the oil pump on both my wife's and my 1995 waveraider's. What is the best thing to do with the oil tank after they are blocked off. I guess I am really curious as to what people have done to make it so the oil light doesn't stay lit? I am also curious if I should run 40:1 or 50:1.

I tried the search function, but couldn't get a good definate answer.

    Thanks for all your guidance!!!!!

    Matt

I run my 94 raider 701 at 40 to 1. As far as the tank goes I removed the line that goes to the pump and got a 3/8 black rubber vacuum port fitting and put it on where the hose used to be. Fits perfect and looks nice.

Thanks. I will give that a try. What did you do to keep the oil light from staying on?
