A guy collided with a rope and died after being taken to the hospital.

That is horrible news. I personally try to ride where there are the fewest people possible.

This sad, but honestly some people are just eating shit when they ride, personally down here in MIAMI we ride in groups of 15 and 20 skis all summer long and down here is crazy ( watch this video ) and we pay attention never happened anything in our groups.

True story. Left the ramp and this guy who later said he had 10 years riding experience started swaying side to side and dumped over. He and his passenger reboard. Goes maybe 400 feet and happens again. We turn back around and check this guy out thinking maybe something is wrong with the ski or something. Says he is ok, but passenger who is a teenage girl is starting to cry. We follow them and this guy starts it again, guns it and just missed the nearly 8 foot steel buoy by honestly 3 foot. Dumps again. By this time, the boat they were following comes back and takes the passenger who's breaking down by this time.
He tells us he has 10 years riding experience but can't get the hang of these new 3 seater skis. Actual truth is he rode one nearly 10 years ago his wife blurts out.

I don't really avoid traffic because I have my favorite place that happens to see alot of boaters and isnt a very big lake. I am very cautious though and keep away from people as best as possible and never do anything crazy around others just for saftey reasons alone. It's a good lake and a good majority of the people there are regulars who have an understanding of the rules and how things are on the lake. People also use alot of hand signals at this lake to show that someone is down in the water, broke down, stopped, etc. It's a good place and one of the reasons I like it there even though it sees alot of traffic, the people see each other alot, most of them are experienced and everyone seems to have the same mindset when out on the water. That doesnt mean idiots dont show us because they do but for a heavy traffic lake it's suprising how well in order it seems.
