Unhappy What to do with a dead machine

I have a 96 polaris 780 SL that I can't get running right, none of the local water craft dealers will service it as they say it is too old and not worth fixing. I can't seem to fix it as I am not that mechanically inclined, and am not interested in parting it out my self. Any ideas on what to do with this machine would be appreciated. The machine is southern Ontario, Canada and I do not have a trailer for it.

    Thanks

Sound like you only have two options left:

Give it away or sell it as a non working project.

    Sorry to hear!

The machine is about 20km south of Owen Sound, just off highway 6. The dealer in Durham, where I bought it has closed up. the dealers in Kitchener- Waterloo will not look at it.

How well or how badly does it run?

Do you know if the cylinders have good compression?

What condition is the rest of the machine?

Give the guys at GO Performance a call. They specialize in Polaris watercraft and are located just outside of London, ON in Dorchester near the 401. www.goperformance.ca or 519-268-7533. Great place to deal with and really know their stuff when it comes to Polaris PWCs.

the machine is in pretty good shape for a 96, starts great, new battery and starter last year, I don't know the readings but compression was even across all three, that's why we do not think it is a compression problem. I still think its getting to much fuel but we have checked the carbs twice now. We can't see a problem but have not found a dealer willing to take a look.
