She just won't go over 51mph

    Hi there,
I'm totally new to pwc's. I purchased a used 250x last year with about 19 hours on, got it in the water and it ran great. I was able to get it up to 62 and I still had room to go on the throttle. I ride in a pretty quiet lake--nice conditions.

I had it winterized and stored at my local shop (in-the-middle-of-nowhere-maine). Got it back on the water 4 times so far this year. It had some gas in it from last season so I thought that I'd run it through its system and refill it with new gas because I couldn't get the thing to go over 51 (and it almost has to push itself into getting to 51mph..if I just throttle down it will pin to about 47 and jump for a split second to 51 if I'm lucky). Got some new gas in it and I'm still having the same problem. My closest Kawasaki dealer is 2.5 hours away so I'm dreading the drive down--anyone else have any insight? I know I have to do a GPS test, but I know that it is holding back and is not optimized. Thanks so much!

that's it? OK, stupid follow-up... could they (the spark plugs) been damaged during the winterizing process?

they are probably fouled from the fuel stabilizer used during the winterization process.

    Most likely cause is plugs
    Then slipping super charger belt
    Then Loose intake air horn
    Then bad super charger
    Kinda sorta In that order.
You can put ngk cr9eix plugs in half the price of the oem plug and just as good.

maybe while at it, check if fluid is in plastic airbox vent tube. Then look inside throat of intercooler and see if there is muck or sludge in there. Might need a right angle mirror and a flashlight but you can see inside without removing the whole intercooler. Fouled ic can foul plugs.
