tigershark taking on water

i have a 99 tigershark tsl 900. it was ridin all day yesterday with no problems til after we were finished riding and was sitting in the water for a few hours when we noticed it was sitting low in water. looked underseat and found about 8 inches of water in the hull. luckily pulled it out before it was too late but now not sure of the source of the water. no visible cracks or holes in the hull. where should i look next? any ideas? are there seals that can go bad and cause a leak?

crank it up, and then turn the garden hose on- check for leak in the engine area, hoses, etc. If no leaks from engine, while jet ski is on trailer and level, check to make sure the drain plugs are in, and fill the hull with a bit of water-then look for leaks from the underneath side of the jetski. Tighten all clamps, check for cracked hoses and check the driveshaft area. that's a good start and I am sure others will chime in with better advice. michael

i finally got to take the ski out on the water and think i found out where the water is coming from. It appears to be coming in from around the driveshaft when its running. What would be the cause of this leak? The bearing or seal? whatever is most likely the source of the leak, what would be required to fix that problem? thanks, JR
