    Question Stock 2008 GP1300R Mods?

    Hi everyone I just got a sweet 2008 Gp1300R with 12 hours im new to the forum and been researching the best mods for reliability and safety... I would like to keep the engine bay Stock as possible and wanted to know if im on the right track...

    Current Hull mods In Mind:
    Riva Ride Plate
    Riva Intake Grate
    Riva Trim Tabs
    Riva Pump Seal Kit
    Solas Dynafly 14/20

    Current Engine Mods in mind?
    D-Plate
    Premix

    Is it safe to do these engine mods without EFI controller? Ive heard mixed rumors premixing EFI and D-Plate Running lean? any feedback will help as i am new to the EFI 1300... Thanks

    Yea ive had that on mind i was hoping keeping it as stock as possible i wouldn't have an issue but ive seen its recommended for stockers too maybe it'll motivate me to further my mods...

    I think you hit it right on the money i have been researching this over and over and what you just suggest makes complete sense! i think its a waste for me to do stage 1 or 2 kits... Im really just looking to modify the ski to run a little better and to increase reliability i might just go that route and maybe look into possibly getting a milled head from bill at oside..... thanks altezza01

    the first 3 things have to do with reliabiliity and the 1200 grate has to do with safety. then you have ff plate for speed and ppk for hole shot.
