20K ohms is way too high an ohms range for stator coil testing.

Set the meter to the 200 ohms range (no K) or what ever is the lowest ohms range.

Then short the two meter probes together and note the reading. If the reading is anything other than 0.0 make note of the number. Recheck the shorted probe reading. This is the meter offset, or the initial inaccuracy of that particular meter when testing very low ohms.

Now test each stator coil. Record the meter reading, then subtract the offset from the coil reading. The result is the actual coil resistance, give or take.

Your meter will not be 100% accurate so expect maybe 10% variation between the posted specifications and the meter results (including whatever offset subtraction your meter requires).

NEW VIDEO COMING, thank you for the info

the redpur-y showed .9 on the 200ohms setting on the meter

the black-purple showed 5.9-5.8 on the 200 ohms setting.

    thoughts?

Tests good in my book. The redpurp/yel is outside 10%, but thats typical when testing such a low resistance item, especially with a less expensive meter.

ok i tested the red and the green wires with the same numbers over 100ohms
does this mean these are bad??? the book says should read around 25ohms i tested on the 200 spot on the meter.
again any suggestions would be great you know pass fail etc. thanks you again guys so much for all the help.
maybe these will help someone else later also

Yes,that tests good. The 5-6 stators I've tested all read 107 ohms. The instructions do mention the actual resistance reading isn't critical-the fact that it switches sharply is.

you can see atleast i need one spark plug wire and the other isnt much better.
but do i also need a coil?
thanks again guys seriously, like having a bunch of genius freinds right there with me.
