'96 Sea doo spx 717 twin carb - backfiring problem
i was riding the other day for couple of hours smoothly , i turned it of for half an hour and when i started it it would not go above half throttle no matter what and the sound of the engine changed to a more pitchy sound.....
so i took it out of water and dissasembled and cleaned fuel filter and carburetors and tried with the hose on the dry and the carbs started backfiring above half throttle and spitting gasoline out
help anyone !??????

i checked rotary valve for clerance it seems ok nothing is broken or loose in there
so i dismantled the carburetors again and cleaned everything thoroughly vith solvent and wd40 and put it back together
but sadly nothing has improved on the ski , when i turn it on the trailer it starts imediatly no hasitation but when i press throtlle until half everything is ok , and after that if i ceep pressing throtle it starts to spit out gasoline and to backfire
help please , somebody competent , how do i check the coils , magneto etc

i took everything apart , took engine out and i can see no reason to backfiring issue yet
i have read somewhere that broken crank gaskets could cause backfiring so i am going to go that way but new gaskets are very hard to come by where i live
